Airport height limit,

Part of the elevated stretch near Airport Colony is above the height the airport allows for the overhead wire; up to about Rs 250 crore of work may have to be rebuilt.

Free Press Journal (27 Aug 2026): the Airport Colony ramp needs 2.4 m more for the overhead wire masts, other places 0.025 m to 2.244 m; more than Rs 260 crore of civil works at risk; MMRDA's Director (Metro Project) said the requirement was not flagged at the design stage by the general consultant, SYSTRA-CEG-SMCIPL. Re-Mumbai: the Airports Authority of India's permits of 2 Jan 2024 (station and ramp) and March 2024 (viaduct) set heights below the design; work stopped in the affected areas. Construction World (8 Oct 2026): the Airports Authority's final technical assessment is pending.
